the problem on the right is active desktop...just go into this

properties>desktop>customize desktop> web

then delete whatever might be in there.

for example...

[img]http://reichnation.com/uploads/active.jpg[/img]

and once you done that.....untick lock desktop items and the grey around icons will go.
