I had a fun discussion with some guy over at Music Wars board at Gamespot and one guy totally had excellent reasons why Portnoy was much better than Lombardo. Especially since Slayer was highly overated. You can honestly tell by listening to it Portnoy has way better control of his drum kit. |
Ok ok Dave Lombardo>all other thrash metal drummers. Portnoy is amazing but if you look at that band the musicianship is awsome. I like everything but the vocals.
And as far as kerry king, i love slayer but hes a terrible lead guitarist. If you want leads check out friedman or becker. Most amazing guitarists ever.
