I would reprimand that secretary in front of the entire White House staff and remind them that:

"That pen was given to you for safe keeping by the FUCKING PRESIDENT for Christs sake!!

Plus your personal effects will not be forwarded on, but sold-off...see how YOU like it..huh..HUH!?"
