Satellite sucks for multiplayer gaming. I used to have DirecPC (CRAP!) and it was awful. Here's why....

The one-way satellites still use a 56k modem to send information, including webpage requests. So if you click on "hotmail.com", the request is sent from your modem through your phone line, out to your isp who sends the request on to the DirecPC server, which sends the request up to the satellite (waaaaaaaay up in the sky), which then zaps it down to your satellite. The two way works similarly, except it's sent up throught the satellite, sent to the DirecPC (or whatever satellite isp you have) servers, which processes the request and then sends it back to your satellite.

Trust me, it's no good for online gaming.
