Also I was mad when they picked the YF-22 to replace the F-15 out of the Yf-23. I liked the YF-23 more manly it was faster then the F-15 and the YF-22. That sad thing is that the F-22 was still not faster then the F-15 or YF-23. But I do like the design of the F-22 it looks mean. But I would still like to have seen the YF-23 More.

Uh.. what are you on? The F22 is equipt with Supercruise engines. This means the the F22 can cruise at supersonic speeds without use of an afterburner. It also does have an afterburner. Notice the word "cruise" most aircraft cant sustain the speeds of the F22 with the fuel economy. |
Same with the YF-23 read about it. |
The YF-23 was faster at mach 2 (F-22's top speed is mach 1.8)
The F-22 was more manuverable, easier to maintain and slightly cheaper than the YF-23.
And the latest F-15's top speed is 2.5 so neither are faster than it. |
The F-15 to me is still a greater fighter then both.
