Some technical crits for you. If you rasterize the text (Layer > Rasterize > Type), you can distort it and lay it a bit flatter on the surface by Ctrl+Click dragging the anchors. You might also try to get a better font match. I used Arial MT set to Bold, then sized/rotated. Also, you didn't get much wear on the new text so it sticks out. I used 2 layers. A top one set to overlay with 100% opacity, and a bottom one on Darken with 40% opacity and some blurring. Here's my attempt, not to show you up, but to help you improve, and I was feeling bored, and out of practice so I thought I'd have a go at it. It's not perfect, but it works.
