you using a refresh fix ?

if so , edit

D:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield Vietnam\Mods\BfVietnam\settings\videodefault.con

and put
renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 1

look in the dc folder under mods for the same thing.
