i saw this interview yesterday while at work, i dont remember the guy's name, but it seems that bush wanted this man to find evidence of iraq's direct involvement in 9-11. he said bush never asked him to make anything up, but that he wanted to hear that iraq was responsible no matter what....so basically bush was after iraq from square one, and there was more to us going to war than a bullshit wmd hunt

I agree that Clinton fucked up Somalia, but i think its stupid to blame him for 9/11. Its so hypocritical for republicans to blame clinton for 9/11 when he wasnt even in office and to blame him for the 93 bombing of the WTC when he was only in office for 4 months or so. If anyone should take the blame for 9/ll other than Osama bin Laden, it should be Bush. |
ok..reverse it. had bush been in office when the trade got bombed the first time he would have smaked bin laden right quick. those sailors and all those people from 9/11 would still be with us.
it comes down to the same thing. clintons huge lack of balls. if he spent more time takin care of business instead of gettin his unit serviced things might be different today. clintons lack of action cost the lives of 1000s of people. plain and simple. his little slap on the wrist just reinforced bin ladens belief that americans were cowards and would not fight.

Dude what are you talking about? After the first bombing in 93 Clinton launched a dragnet that captured those responsible for the bombing. Because of that, they are currently spending their days rotting in Attica somewhere. Also, surveillence videos leaked recently shows that the Clinton administration was actively looking for him in Afghanistan. He also launched missles against targets that were believed to be involved with his network. If republicans had spent less time flooding congress and the media with tales of Clintons sex life, maybe he could have done more and maybe it would be more widely known that he took an active role in trying to find Bin Laden. Its bullshit to put this blame squarely on Clinton. He didnt know what was going to happen 9 months out of his term of office. Bush had the intelligence available to him the whole time he was in office and he was briefed over and over again my the departing administration.
