Why do you need to go to the range. ? Ive lived my whole life and survived without going ot a range. The thing is your placing the fact that you going to the range is more important then people getting shot up and dieing. A little "fun" as you put it isn't worth the lives. Go and tell that to any of the family's involved in Columbine. Im sure they will tell you about how much your fun cost them..
