Well, if he was sorry he wouldn't automatically go straight into heaven. He could be sentenced to Purgatory where he'd have to wait to be granted access to heaven---who knows how long that is (could be billions of years or a couple months in human terms).
But to get specific, commiting the murder (which is probably a mortal sin) doesn't allow him access to sanctifying grace (being able to get into heaven through God's mercy). So, most likely, he will go to hell or stay in purgatory for a long time.
So, why don't you study up on your religions before you get pissed off at them. kthx
