According to the ancient Sumerians, the "God" we're familiar with in the Old Testament were visitors from a brown dwarf star whose orbit crosses our solar system once every 3,600 years. The ancient Sumerians left extensive records of their stay on Earth. They claimed that these visitors taught man everything he knows. These records date back at least 6,000 years.

Their creation legends are strikingly similar to what's found in the Book Of Genesis, but the records conatining the legends of these "Gods" who came to Earth predated the Book Of Genesis by a few thousand years. So it could be that the Biblical stories found in Genesis may have actually been a retelling of ancient Sumerian legend. The Sumerians called these people the Annunaki, but in Genesis they are called the Nephilim.

Nephilim, translated, means "those who from hevaen to earth came".

I know this sounds WAY off the normal thinking, but I have OODLES of evidence that supports this claim, mainly from a series of books one man wrote called The Earth Chronicles. I have all flavors of scientific evidence that says "yes, events in The Bible DID in fact happen, but not in the supernatural context that most people subscribe to." Nevertheless, the evidence tells an EXTRODINARY story of man's history that literally staggers the mind.
