Yeah, you really don't need to do all of that.

What I do

1) Uninstall the drivers from add/remove programs.

2) Reboot into safe mode, and unplug the network cable.

3) Run Driver Cleaner 2, and remove devices from Device Manager.

4) Optional- Run Reg Cleaner

5) Reboot and install new drivers.
