My father was in WWII saw a lot of his freinds and comrades die. Id go thru Omaha beach few days after D-DAY they were still cleaning up. He said the there were body bags everywhere, they still fishing bodies out of the water, and finding body parts. He said it was like and organized hell. Later in the war Is platoon came upon one of the death camps after it had been liberated.(not sure which one), he said there was still a stench in the air. But he his thought was with his buddies who had died, because he believed(and still does)
that they did not die in vain and the world will be a better place because of their sacrifice.
