As the only forum member from Winnipeg, I can say that i am not surprised by that list. Everyone here in the Peg knows that we're the murder capital of Canada. So does that mean we Winnipegers live in constant fear? Of course not. I love this city. It's beautiful and simple.

All of those local murders usually happen in the North End, Winnipeg's dilapidated (sp?) urban neighbourhood. It's ashame at how the core area has regularly been decaying over the years. Hopefully our new mayor Sam Katz, owner of our baseball team, can fix things.

And we have a lot of natives in this city, mostly in the North End slums. Does that mean anything? It might, but it might not. I'll stop there before someone flames me.
