I don't think either is any better than the other. It's all about personal preference.

It's just as lame to claim Realism mods are for better players as it is to claim they are for newbies.

Neither requires more skill at all, they just both require slightly differing skill sets.

I prefer non-realism. I don't think Realism mods are crap, or for newbies, or less skillful, but I don't like playing on them as much.

So, I don't.

It's an option we all have, so I don't see what all the fuss is about.
