As for speeds, you'll be alot closer to cable than you realize when you're gaming. Only when you're d/loading a huge file will you notice the slower speeds.

i have had both for about 6 months
major diffs in gaming (30-40 ping on cable, 60-70 on DSL) and thats with 756 DSL, he'll probably get crappy 128/256
