1) At 12:00am, a certain amount of people had a big red dot painted onto their back by some ultra-quiet sonic painter from above without anyone noticing.

2) When it's dawn, it was announced that all 30 people may walk around looking at other people's back, but one wasn't allowed to look at ones own back or communicate with other people in any way, otherwise the whole group of 30 people would be killed.

3) The person(s) whose back were painted should commit suicide at 12:00am the next day, or the whole group would be killed. The experiment will go on until all red-dotted person(s) are dead. The painting process will only be done once, and that is on the first day of the experiment.

Given:

1) These are the thiry most intelligent people in the world.

2) Each individual is willing to play by the rule and is prepared to die to save the whole group.

3) At least one person's back was painted.

On the August 8th, 2004 at 12:00am, the game was over.
