Damn it! It would be so cool but not worth taking away game play. Yes 1 in 5 was a very common tracer spacing. In a very fast firing MG such as the MG42 it would look like damn near every round was a tracer but on the more average ROF MG like the .30cal or MG34 (and the illustrious .50 cal) you Would be able to notice the spacing.
