You wont bee able to see a muzzle flash in a bright day. However it is clearly visible in a moderate light conditions, both cal. 22 and 6.5 which I use in competitions. I have also used 7.62 ammunition in an AG3 machine gun, and the result is the same. I guess it’s also a question about what kind of, and how much powder you use in your cartridges.

The most stupid muzzle flashes I see in games are the ones with four side-bursting flashes. In real life those flashes are caused by a muzzle attachment, which are widely used in Hollywood together with blank ammunition. I can understand why Hollywood are using blanks, but I can’t understand why some games imitate it.
