Newfoundland has a saying when you address someone as a "cock" or "cocky", which means "sailor/pirate".

Example:

Mainlander: "Excuse me, sir. Would you happen to have a quarter for the pay phone?"

Newfoundlander: "Yes indeed I do, me old cock. Now go make yer call before I beats da jeezus outta ya."
