This is the 93rd Grey Cup this year I believe. They used the yards back then, and up until the 60's everything was imperial in Canada. Therefore, why change the units on a football field to meters?
And the Doug Flutie comparison goes like this:
The NFL isn't as much of a passing game and wide open game as the CFL is. Thus the quarterback in the CFL is much more important and responsible for how the team does, than in the NFL. Players are also smaller here, and half of every team is Canadian. The games are very different. You couldn't have a game between a CFL team and an NFL team.
