I'm with him on this. It's just too much. Religion is only sacred and off limits in comedy to a small percentage of society at the moment.
If we outlaw it and make it legally off-limits to all lampooning - Then more of society will frown on that kind of comedy, making one more thing that can incite hatred and violence when talked about in the wrong way.

Effectively, it's curbing society towards a world full of off-limit words and phrases, which is entirely a bad idea in a world networked togather by communication and the media.

We need to stop taking things so seriously and start laughing at ourselves.
