Its easy to define an adult game but not easy to define a "kiddy game" unless its soemthig along the lines of fluffy pink bunnies trying to teach kids the alphabet. I think nintendo proved long ago that a game doesn't have to have blood and swear words flying out of every orifice to make for a fun experience. Whereas companies like rockstar depend on this.


As for the console market, before intendo entered with the nex it was practically non existant, the nes basically started it all then the snes boosted it, had been no nes most likely there would be no playstatiom, or xbox or psp or whatever else because the market would not be there.
