In response to the original question, the most n00bish things I see are posts concerning:

1. Ranks
2. CD-Keys/warez versions of MoH, CoD, etc
3. Post Count Milestones (e.g Yay, I hit 1000 posts!)
4. Post Your Desktop (just a pet peeve. I don't see the attraction)
