thats awesome, i must admit i agree with you. I was taught that the english word came from the happenings of the French Revolution, but your evidence is overwhelming, especially the word "terriloquus", thats a very astute observation... It makes more sense that the french came from that latin root, and then gave birth to the english, as you have implied... thats the problem with studying different time periods, my prof for european history claimed the connection, I guess i should have double checked with my classics profs...
