I prefer the classic sword. Good reach, pretty much whatever you hit it with will either die, or lose part of it anatomy.

Naturally that is fall back after running out of other home made ordinance, and rifle rounds. A good one way choke point with zombie proof exits is a must. IE a ladder to a second floor or such.
