just grab a 2nd computer, pull the ps out of it and try it

is the monitor off? perhaps you threw a breaker

some motherboards have little leds on them that show you they are getting power, see if your led is on


You can try jumping the ATX connector

take a paper clip from the green wire, to any black wire

if it doesn't turn on, the psu is obviously shot, iam not sure even if it does turn on if that will give you an good idea if it's shot or not, because it just might be something else

best bet is to pull another psu but that's just me....


ummm ram could be shot, if you have more than one stick pull one out and see if it cranks up

perhaps there is just a loose connection somewhere, make sure all the molex's are tight and ide cables arn't loose


also could be a heat issue, fried cpu / gpu

but that's on the bad side.....good luck
