1 grand will not get you much

I spent 2 "1 grands" last month on a TV, plus hundreds more for dvd player and accessories

I spent another "1 grand" on fixing up my apartment.

I spent a little less then "1 grand" on Christmass presents

Now my checking account has no "grands" left, until payday Friday.
