Sounds like the Blaster worm, or something similar. When the shutdown thing appears click Start>Run and type cmd and hit return. When the prompt appears type shutdown -a and hit return. That should stop it from rebooting. Then run a good anti-virus.

Edit: Actually you can just type "shutdown -a" into the Start>Run box.
