They can, certain motherboards support it, given they are quite expensive, theyll usually say "will support dual processors up to X GBs" some require or come with software to go along with the OS to help clock etc |
Ive yet to read of any motherboards that can have an intel and amd cpu working together, given that smp takes 2 cpu's off the same speed and intel and amd's interpretation of "mhz" are completly different i dont see how it could work.
