Neal Boortz is a radio talk show guy in Atlanta.

Some of the points he brings up were in the paper this morning. The whole thing where he overpowered the Deputy should have been seen on the security cameras and was not.

The paper seemed to have a conflict. At one point it says he took the Deputy's holster and keys from the holding area..... and that he was able to get her gun out of the lock box she has to put it into because he had her keys. In other section it shows a diagram of him leaving the holding cell with her gun. So I assume the box she put her gun in was inside the holding cell area? But they said he left the holding area with the "holster". It was a little confusing. So I guess she wasn't actually armed when he attacked her.

The paper also talked about the fact that this Deputy was a 51 year old grandmother, definitely not big enough to defend herself in a hand-to-hand fight with this guy. Why weren't more guys helping her, especially given the fact that they caught the guy a day or two before with metal door hinges, that had been filed down to sharp points, hidden in his socks?

**edit*** it also said that when he locked her back in the cell - it appeared he knew the exact key to use and didn't have to fumble around trying to figure out what key to use. Strange.
