Apparently the shooter told police that he regretted shooting the judge and the court reporter. He said he went to the courtroom to kill his former girlfriend. (He was on trial for "allegedly" holding her hostage for three days, raping and sodomizing her the entire time. He had even packed a cooler with food so he wouldn't have to go out. Why did he want to rape her for three days? The third day was her birthday and I guess it was his present to her.) Anyway, when he got there and the girlfirend was not in the courtroom he lost his temper and just started shooting. Maybe he is trying to set the stage for a temporary insanity defense or something.

And before you say, "what an idiot". Supposedly the guy is pretty smart. his mom is something like an Ambassador to one of the African nations.

Also, the FBI asked the girl that he held hostage over night to not give any interviews to the media. I think they didn't want her polluting the future jury pool, etc. She didn't listen to them and gave a bunch of interviews anyway. She has also hired an attorney to handle any movie or book deals that might come. rolleyes:
