Here us a link to the past eruptions and the area they covered[url:4a4df]http://dsc.discovery.com/convergence/supervolcano/explorer/explorer.html[/url:4a4df] Here is some stuff that would change where this ash would go off the top of my head: Magentic pole change ( in both those times the magnetic poles were switch compared to where they are now, this will effect the spread of the ash) also the jet stream, depending on the time of year the jet tream will pull the ash farther east (watch out Nashville biggrin: ) Third we cant forget El Nino, if its an El Nino year that will also effect the outcome. This explosion, if it were to happen, would have the magnitude, in theory to trigger the Long Valley caldera in CA further triggering San Andreas and the Valles caldera in New Mexico and possibly but not likely trigger the chain of volcanoes and faultlines in Alaska. This my friends is called Chaos theory. The western coast is full of active and dormant volcanos as well as other siesmic activity. So one blows, they ALL blow. U think the tsunami that hit Indonesia was big? Try one that is 2000 miles long and has 5000+ miles to build intensity. Say goodbye to China, Japan, hell all of eastern Asia inlan to probably 100 miles, Australia and Oceania. Hey, we wont have to worry about Russia no more biggrin:
