I think the Minuteman idea was a great idea. As they say it is like a huge Neighborhood Watch program. I don't see any police departments screaming that the thousands of neighborhood programs in the US should be abolished. And it really is a neighborhood safety program for many of these people that live on the or near the border. Can you imagine what it is like for them living in fear that some group of hungry illegals are going to break into their homes or steal their property on the way past? Yes, it should be government's job to defend the borders. But they aren't. So this little "protest" is attracting the attention it was designed to.

As for President Fox, he should be ashamed. Like it or not we have immigration laws. The key word here is "illegal". Everybody talks about the "illegals" and what we should do blah, blah, blah. What their doing is illegal!!!!! Either change the law or throw them in jail. BS on deporting them back. Throw them in the slammer!! Make it impossible for them to send the dollars back to Mexico that President Fox so desperately wants that he is willing to ignore the danger his people put themselves in trying to cross the border.

It amazes me that anybody can have a problem with our own people guarding our own border. It's our border dagnabit!!!!! If you don't want us to round you up for crossing it....don't cross it!! If you are scared that the Minutemen will shoot you....don't cross it!!! It's pretty dang simple!!!
