It all depends how experienced the student pilot was, if he/she was nearing there PPL then they are quite capable to land successfully in an emergiency (as they practice them reguarly). Everything all depends on the circumstances of the emergiency. But that plane was waaay too low even if that field was on the other side of the road. |
I'm not aware of what it takes ot become a pilot, but, regardless, experience has to count for something, I cant believe a guy fresh off getting his aviation license will be able to fly as well under various circumstances as a 20 year veteran pilot.
