Isn't it funny how the ones bashing this mod are the mg whores and its even funnier that they havn't even played it to see what exactly has changed. Maybe theyre afraid their "1337" "skillz" (read: spray and pray noob style) will be affected by actually having to aim and not being able to take out players from springfield 03 scope range.
I really have to laugh at how when their precious little weapon has been nerfed they go crying. Well for a start the stg and the B.A.R do more or less the same damage, 2 hits or so for a kill. The only real difference is their range has been reduced a bit plus they recoil hard now so running and spraying noob style won't work as well anymore.[/quote:ea01b]
How can you aim if the accuracy is shot to hell and the bullets don't go where you aim??? That's obviously what you are trying to do.
Reality check time:
MGs ARE the best weapon in real war, next to arty tank and air support, why do you think that that the MG considered the most important infantry weapon.
Trying to make the MG useless so people don't use it at all is not realism, trying to limit the number of MGs per squad is (like AA:O)
Also, if we start talking about realism, you must know that a hit from any weapon, while it may not kill you, will "mission kill" you. If you get shot by an MG in the leg, you will no longer be able to walk, the pain will be immense so you won't be able to concentrate to shoot, and you will probably go into shock or bleed out unless your buddies find you, give you morphine and patch you up. This is of course, too avanced for a game, so they make one shot kill instead.[/quote:ea01b]
Funny this, mg was the best weapon in war? Hmm i seem to recall some guy called hitler thinking the same thing and look what happened there. If an mg is the best then why is the garand known as "the rifle that won ww2"?
Mg's are mainly used for infantry support squad covering tactics, last i checked i don't think many people in ww2 using bar's or stg's were renound for taking people out at 5000 yards with 1 shot.
I am not trying to make the mg's useless. I am making them more true to real life. You go running full auto with a B.A.R and see how good your accuracey is, i can almost guarantee you would end up flat on your ass plus you wouldn't hit shit. However falling isn't an option in this game so i am reducing their accuracey while running. While standing still however your accuracey will be a lot better as it will be easier to control the recoil.
