O.B.'s Barbecue Sauce Recipe for Ribs
1 tablespoon butter
1-2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 cup catsup
1/3 cup chili sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons minced onions
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon mustard
1 teaspoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon hot sauce
3 slices lemon
Simmer the ribs in salted water for about 20 minutes. Drain. Combine all the barbecue sauce ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a low boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
Place the ribs on a preheated barbecue grill or under the broiler and cook over/under medium heat until cooked through, about 20 to 30 minutes. Baste with the barbecue sauce during the last 10 minutes of cooking.
Oven Cooked Ribs Directions:
After simmering and draining the ribs, place them in a shallow baking dish and bake at 350° for 20 to 40 minutes. Baste often with barbecue sauce.
