The bible is taken as a METAPHORICAL guide to life with various morals that are relevant in any era, in any age, to all humans, by certain sects of CHRISTIANITY.

....But I suppose it's just easier to call ALL christians, including those who look at the bible with an open mind, ignorant fools.

There's more than one sect of Chrisitanity.
