Have you ever worked in a place where you have to ID people? No?
Thats odd, I have. Actually, I do right now. Mine is a bit different from Poseidons, since mine is a military airforce base, but still, after a while you learn to determine stuff by just looking at peoples faces. Its not guessing, its a fucking 6th sense.

Very true. Maybe not so much a 6th sense but you generally know if someone is over 18 or not. Yeah I can "slip up" - this is one of them times, I do ask for ID alot for both cigs, scratchcards, alcohol etc. Our refusal sales book is full of my signature. I never guess if someone is 18, if I am 100% that someone is of legal age i'll sell the product to them, otherwise I ask for ID, this once I made an a mistake.
[quote="Sgt>Stackem":39a24]I see its the cops fault your sold to minors, do your job and this wont happen. Card anyone under 40[/quote:39a24]
quote me on where I blamed the police for me selling to minors? I know I was wrong, but I wasnt saying it was anyone elses fault. I'm just saying I don't deserve a £80 fine, for doing my fucking job. Have you ever worked in an off licence? Once you do you will find out how hard it is to determine (at times) how old someone is. I've ID'd a 26 year old before, even though she looked 18 I asked anyway cause I couldnt be sure. Just because once I made a slipup doesnt necessarily mean I deserve a £80 fine.
