Short Hand turns an argument out of nothing, about something entirely trivial and pointless - The fact that he is actually wrong is what makes it amusing though. Stewart's style of interviewing,
if it wasn't intended to make people laugh would be considered 'Childish.'
Mix the above quote with a troublemaking attitude and you have an example of a annoying little upstart, with no logical arguing agenda. There is no intention to seek any kind of conclusion or final point in these arguments he starts.
