My question is...whats the point of all that power? Nothing can really harness is it and it wont be mainstream in software development for another 2 years when this kinda of higher end tech becomes more avalible to the average joe...

IMHO the EE and whatever AMD has thats $1,000+ are fucking usless wastes of money. With 1,000 I could get 2 gigs of ram, a 300gig harddrive, a 3.4ghz provessor, and a 7800.
