I'm certain they decided on Daniel Craig, the guy from Road To Perdition and Layer Cake.

IMO, He would fucking suck.

.....and I think they could use a black guy and still make it cool - They'd just need to make the script, plot etc better than the last few, and people wouldn't make such a big deal about a new aspect like that.....The last half-decent bond movie was Goldeneye.
