....I see it differently. This war should have never happened, the majority of the world would agree. (Probably not the majority of Americans) ...But you sign up to protect your country - Not invade other peoples.

Look at it this way, would you be pissed off at your government if it started a war unjustly (Even if u don't think the war was unjustified - Picture a situation where it would be to you) and then because your father/brother/mate was in the army, he was forced to go die in it? This lady is pissed off that her son had to die for no real reason - She obviously believes the war was totally unjust...

I'm not at all saying I agree with her, because I don't - I think she's going about it the wrong way - But I'm just offering an explanation for her motivation....
...She obviously disagrees with the war, but is she speaking for her son as well? If she is, then it's valid (Because she's saying stuff he never got a chance too) but still pointless. If not, then the bitch should stop ruining her son's name.
Totally agree. Her son although not agreeing with the war, couldnt just say to his CO. "Nope sorry I aint going - dont agree with the war, you can go die for this unjust reason if u want but i aint" It just doesnt work like that. I think she could have tackled the situation alot better.[/quote:2dd1f]
He could have easily gotten himself discharged.
