As you may recall I was having heat isues lately but make sure you DON'T use cpu temp programs coz they don't fucking work. Always use your BIOS temp readout as its correct, the program i used, motherboard monitor, said my cpu was 85 degrees C when it was actually 50.
Also one of the main problems of my overheat was that my CPU was running on 100%, so I disabled ALL of the startup items in MSCONFIG and started it up, problem fixed. After that you just have to be selective on which programs you really need to be starting with when you power up.

Also try Arctic Silver thermal paste.
