because they couldnt afford to take care of themselves, people in New Orleans dont need international aide, its a waste of funds that could go elsewhere. The US and the other wealthier nations have a moral obligation to donate to people who are less fortunate than ourselves. |
I agree 100%. I was just curious what the sentiment abroad was where donations to relief were concerned. I don't believe there is any obligation for foreigners to donate anything.
