Why would somebody bash you, most everybodys first car aint their first choice of cars. Most guys have two cars in mind, the dream car then the one that fits the wallet. I expect that rule has applied since the first car rolled off the line.

Come to think of it, its one of the few things that hasnt changed generation to generation. the models change but a guys first car remains the same.
because i would assume someone would come and say something like "i have to work in order to get a car that costs that could not even compare to yours, and you get to have one for free." Look at one of the vacation threads and see what i'm talking about.
I really have no problem with hand downs, its when some punk gets their rich parents to buy them a 318i Beamer brand new or a brand new civic, RSX etc...[/quote:8ac0b]

Why? How do you know they didn't work hard in other areas to earn the right to be given a car? Not everyone is a walking stereotype.

The way I see it, unless you know the person very well you have no place to judge anyone like that.[/quote:8ac0b]

Thats your view on it. I don't see it like that though.[/quote:8ac0b]

Then all that makes you is narrow-minded. Don't comeback and say that's not true because it is....You're closing your mind to the possibility of someone earning the right to have a car given to them through other means than working at a job and getting paid by a boss. Simply because they have rich parents.

That's prejudice towards rich people. Just because they're rich doesn't make them corrupt and spoilt.

My family are very well off, but it's only because my parents worked terribly hard to get where they are.....They bought both my cars. Doesn't mean I didn't deserve them.
I'm pretty much their butler when I'm not at university, they're both so busy they're rarely home to manage the rest of their life - So I do a lot of it for them, and have been doing it at varying degrees since I've been capable of it....

By your logic that makes me a rich punk/spoilt brat type.[/quote:8ac0b]

What lesson in life does one learn when mommy and daddy hand the child the keys to a brand new beamer ?... Nothing. With youth like this growing up we have much to be afraid of in the near future. Earn it. Work hard.
