I was getting the same shit, ended up i had to remove all the gcf files from the steam apps folder, plonk em on the desktop, uninstall then reinstall steam then put all the gcf's back in the steamapps folder. Its weird it happened on my friends pc, that was the last thing we tried and it worked for him, suprised it worked for me as well. eek:
