You need a 'provisional' licence before you're allowed to drive a car, but you can have your parents to take you out, but i hired an instructor (a very good one). I prefered to have a qualified instructor rather than have my dad shouting at me whilst im driving.

It may seem silly but I failed my first test due to the car creaping over the speed limit 3 fucking times (i corrected it straight away) but he failed me for it, even though each time i only went like 2mph over and corrected it in less than 3 seconds.

My examiner got me to do the 'turn in the road' and reverse around a corner. He must have found the longest corner in the whole damn town, took ages to get around. But I managed it with ease biggrin:
