We don't have the SAT in Canuckia, but certain college programs require that you take a specialized examination before being admitted. Police Sciences had this 600-question test checking you for mental disorders and dishonesty: if you got a certain number of conflicting answers on similar items, you would fail. A lot of people got weeded out like this... hell, I almost didn't make the cut because I lazy'd my way out of high school.
