The Colorado state law is going to trump Denver's law, so it's only going to be around until a state court says that the state law overrules the city law.

Really what the purpose of this law was for wasn't to get pot legalized in Denver, but to show that if votes were held for legalization of Marijuana in a major population center that it COULD win, thus inspiring other places to give thought to the fact that perhaps they too should start working towards Marijuana legalization.
